D é cor: A stunning five-meter-tall mirror framed in native lapacho wood greets diners as they enter, along with an impressive backlit bar. Flowing white curtains run from floor to ceiling and hug walls decorated with sexy, black-and-white photos of body parts. An upstairs library accommodates private parties and smokers.
Drinks: The bar offers classic and apple martinis, as well as an Argentine variation of a Kir Royal: champagne served with fresh Patagonian berries. The wine list features Malbecs, Cabernets and Syrahs from Argentina’s finest boutique wineries, including Cobos, Susana B. and Pulenta Estate.
Food: Peruvian-inspired appetizers, like salmon ceviche and sole tiradito with herbs, alfalfa sprouts and cilantro, contrast well with heartier main courses of beef, chicken and pork, all slow-cooked. Chef Alejandro Battaglia also represents his Italian roots well with an excellent pomodoro risotto and a superb chicken rotolo.
Sweets: The dulce de leche volcano cake with banana ice cream will satisfy even the most stubborn sweet tooth.
