What is Kevin Durant’s injury?

On Sunday, Jan. 8, Durant left the game against the Heat with a left knee injury and did not return. He suffered the injury in the third quarter when Jimmy Butler landed awkwardly on his knee after a layup attempt.

How long will Kevin Durant be out?

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, the Nets announced that Durant has been reevaluated and the doctor was “very pleased with Durant’s recovery thus far.” Durant will continue to rehabilitate his knee and is scheduled to be reassessed in another two weeks.

The two-week reevaluation would bring Durant to Feb. 9, which would only leave four games before the All-Star break.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, there is “optimism” that Durant will return before the All-Star break and play in the All-Star Game.
