In a news release, Brainerd Police Chief Corky McQuiston said the boy was unconscious after collapsing Friday afternoon at the Brainerd Area Civic Center. Police say a paramedic who was at the game immediately responded and tried to help. McQuiston said the player was flown to a hospital, where attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
